Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy from The Boys is being recreated in a new cosplay featuring his uniform, armor, and shield.
Soldier Boy survives the events of The Boys season 3 finale and is confirmed to in season 4, in addition to a planned cameo in the spinoff show Gen V.
It remains unclear what lies ahead for Soldier Boy, but his return is expected to come with plenty of bloodshed.
A new The Boys cosplay recreates the look of Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy from the hit Prime Video superhero show. First releasing on the streamer in 2019, The Boys follows a group of vigilantes who embark on a mission to take down various corrupt superheroes who abuse their powers. Ackles joined the show as Soldier Boy in season 3, quickly proving himself a ruthless addition to the series.

What’s Next For Soldier Boy After The Boys Season 3?
Soldier Boy plays an important role in the events of The Boys season 3 finale, participating in a big fight scene involving key characters like Karl Urban’s Butcher and Antony Starr’s Homelander, among others. Just as Soldier Boy is about to unleash an explosive blast, Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) shows up and tackles Ackles’ character out a window, with the blast happening as they fall.
Both Maeve and Soldier Boy end up surviving this fall and blast, however, and Ackles’ character is poised to return in The Boys season 4, which was confirmed in June 2022. The last audiences see of Soldier Boy in the season 3 finale, the superhero has been taken to a new cryo chamber by the CIA, meaning his future is very much up in the air. Before season 4 releases on Prime Video –which could be a while given the current WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes – Soldier Boy is slated to cameo in the spinoff show Gen V.
As for what awaits the character in the mothership show, there are a number of possibilities. It’s possible, for example, that he will be used as a weapon to remove other superheroes’ powers, or he could end up aligning with The Boys due to his continued hatred of Homelander. While it’s unclear what’s next for Soldier Boy in The Boys, it’s likely that his return will come with a lot of bloodshed.
