The Boys hasn’t revealed who Jeffrey Dean Morgan is playing in season 4, but the show has confirmed that the actor will be a part of the upcoming season. Although Morgan is confirmed, Ackles is not despite playing one of season 3’s most crucial characters. Ackles’ Soldier Boy had a prominent role in season 3 and by the finale, he became the main antagonist but was defeated and placed inside a chamber, leaving his future in the series unknown.
Although he appeared in Gen V afterward, it wasn’t the real version of his character which continues to cast doubt over his involvement next season.
