Woman Attacked by Polar Bear After Jumping into Berlin Zoo Enclosure

A 32-year-old woman was attacked by a polar bear after she entered their enclosure at the Berlin Zoo during feeding time.

She sustained multiple bites before being rescued.

To access the enclosure, the woman, identified only as Mandy K, had to climb over a fence, pass through a line of hedges, and scale a wall.

The woman jumped over the barriers while the bear was being fed at the Berlin Zoo, resulting in injuries to her arms, legs, and back.

Despite the efforts of six zookeepers to distract the four bears, one of them repeatedly bit the woman on her arms and legs.

The zookeepers successfully scared off the bear and rescued the woman.

The 32-year-old woman is currently hospitalized, recovering from surgery to treat her wounds.

It was later revealed that she is a teacher who had been struggling with despair due to her inability to secure employment.
