De Niro hits at his opponents: “Shut up, you are all gangsters”

After a news conference at the Manhattan courtroom, Robert De Niro faced a hostile crowd of protesters who labeled him a “little punk” and criticized his movies. The legendary actor, accompanied by two Capitol officers, was met with harsh public disapproval for his statements and actions.

During the press conference, De Niro spoke passionately, invoking the aftermath of the Twin Towers’ fall. He emphasized, “We vowed we would not allow other attacks to change our way of life. I love this city. I don’t want to destroy it. Donald Trump wants to destroy not only the city but the country, and eventually he can destroy the world.” He continued, “If that guy returns to the White House, you can kiss these freedoms goodbye. And elections — forget about it. That’s over; that’s done. If he gets in, he will never leave.”

Following the event, De Niro confronted pro-Trump protesters who derided him as a “wannabe,” “paid sell-out,” and “little punk.” He stood his ground, asserting, “You’re not going to intimidate. That’s what your President does. We are going to fight back. We’re trying to be gentlemen in this world. YOU ARE ALL GANGSTERS.”

In the heated exchange, a protester shouted, “You’re washed up,” prompting De Niro to respond with, “F— you.” Despite the tension, a fan in the crowd expressed admiration, shouting, “I loved you in ‘Taxi Driver’!”

This incident highlighted the intense emotions and deep divisions surrounding the upcoming election and Trump’s legal issues.
